Hi,

I am trying to see if it's possible to add as buttons into the RadEditor's toolbar for the following functions 'Insert Anchor', 'Insert Email' and 'Image Map Editor'?
I noticed that Insert Anchor' and 'Insert Email' are accessible within the 'Link Manager' as sub tabs and also that 'Image Map Editor' is accessible after a image has been placed via a right click.

Also, is it possible to doc the toolbar below the 'Address Bar' in the browser or is that browser specific? The browser in question will be Microsoft's IE v6.0+

Thanks.

Regards,
Keith.

Hello Keith,

For the full list of toolbar buttons, check the following help topic - http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet/editor/?ToolbarIntro.html You can modify the editor tool buttons from the ToolsFile.xml and ListToolsFile.xml files. I think that only the  Image Map editor tool is available as a separate button:

<tool name="ImageMapDialog"/>

For the mail and anchor tasks, you will first need to open the Hyperlink Manager dialog and then click the appropriate tab.

About your second question - yes, it is possible to change the toolbar and make it display at the page top - http://www.telerik.com/help/aspnet/editor/?OneToolbarForMultipleEditors.html The change is performed from the editor's configuration file (ConfigFile.xml or ListConfigFile.xml).

The editor configuration files are located at \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\wpresources\RadEditorSharePoint\4.2.0.0__1f131a624888eeed\RadControls\Editor\

Lini,

Cheers for the heads up.. Just is just what I was after.

Just a query on behavior regarding once either 'left', 'right' or 'center' align has been applied to text, can that align be then removed via the toolbar?

Thanks for the quick response on this - it's very much appreciated.

Regards,
Keith.

Hello Keith,

When you press one of the align buttons on the toolbar, the editor encloses the current selection in a paragraph and aligns it. If you want to remove that alignment right away, you can just press the undo button. If you want to remove the paragraph, you can try selecting the text and using the format stripper tool to remove all html tags. This will leave you with just the text.

Kind regards,
