Hello,
I am a bit lost, I could really use some help on building cross platform applications using native UI components.
Basically what I want is to write a cross platform/ hybrid application using HTML5 and javascript which will seem like a native application using native UI components as mentioned in the article below.
Is there a sample application or tutorial that I can start with ?

http://blogs.telerik.com/valentinstoychev/posts.aspx/14-06-12/announcing-nativescript---cross-platform-framework-for-building-native-mobile-applications
"I'm happy to announce NativeScript framework. NativeScript framework enables developers to use pure JavaScript language to build native mobile applications running on all major mobile platforms - Apple iOS, Google Android and Windows Universal. The application's UI stack is built on the native platform rendering and layout engine, using native UI components and because of that no compromises with the User Experience of the applications are done. It is also worth mentioning that a full native API access is provided by using JavaScript."

Thanks,
Kivanc

Hi Kivanc,

There are two options available for you:

1. If you want to use HTML5 your option is to base your application on the PhoneGap/Crodova project. This way you will reuse your HTML5 skills, but the application will not be build with native components. It will however have a native-like UX. To use this option start by using our Telerik platform.

2. If you want to your application to use real native UI components then your option will be to use NativeScript. But in this case you will not use HTML5. The application will be build by using JavaScript and a UI markup similar to XML. Please note that NativeScript is currently in preview form and will not be available for general consumption until the end of the year. If you want to use this option please let us know and I will add you to our beta list for NativeScript.

I hope this helps - please let us know if you need more clarification - we will be glad to help!
