Phone 7.x/8.0 Silverlight had an OS level built in crop and scale when selecting an image. With the new filepicker APIs there isn't a built in UI for crop and scale.
Would be great to have a square cropped image UX exactly how silverlight was. Basically a square showing the image with pinch/zoom and panning the image.
Another control would be just a pan & zoom image control.
