You are correct that TeamPulse does not track this type of data right now. Custom fields are something we would really love to have and this feature is in our backlog, but it hasn't been scheduled yet. I have added another vote for it on your behalf.
I would like to be able to give a timeline for when this might be added but unfortnately I cannot. I can say though that we do take customer feature requests very seriously so the more something is requested the quicker it gets done. So if you have any more requests, please let us know!
