Crashing DisplayDateStart and DisplayDateEnd

I am using the Q2 version.

I have not been able to track down whats causing this to fail.

I have a RadDatePicker in a CellEditTemplate of a RadGridView. I am setting the DisplayDateStart and DisplayDateEnd through binding. I also have the SelectableDateStart and SelectableDateEnd bound to the same values. The Selectable fields don't have a problem with the data but the Display fields crash. The data being put into them is 7/12/2010 and 12/31/2099. Other data fails too. The only one in my data that works has values of 6/1/2010 and 7/14/2010.

Crashes the application.

This is a pretty annoying/serious issue; when will you fix it?

I have a couple of datepickers that have the SelectedDate bound and when I try to manually (in codebehind) set the DisplayDateStart equal to the SelectedDate the application freezes (the debugger does not catch it, I have to stop the debugger from VS)

Hi,

I was very shocked now. I browsed up ad had a look at when the first complaint was lodged. It was over a year ago.
Does this mean to say, that you guys are never going to fix this issue? I have had to take out all of the calender controls in our application,being an application for bookings I am sure you can see how important these controls are to us.

This creates a further problem for us, where we have now incorporated Telerik controls into all our pages and we have made use of the Telerik style manager. Now we have to remove a lot of the controls and replace them with standard controls. So we now have themed and unthemed controls. So all the code that it took to enable us to change themes on the fly was written for nothing. as if we cant style all controls then it is pointless.

I also think that it should be mentioned in red in the documentation that these controls are NOT working. I have spent countless
hours trying to find fault in my code and in the end it is actually the control.

this is disappointing.

I agree that this is annoying and seemingly simple to fix, but it's a minor issue since you can bind the Selectable fields. Having said that, Telerik should either fix it or remove those properties.

Binding to the Selectable fields does not accomplish the same thing so, no, its not a minor issue. Its only minor to those who don't need the functionality that the Display fields would provide. The importance of an item is not lessened simply because YOU have no requirement for it.

This needs fixed, obviously.  I can't think of another way to control the displayed date ranges of one picker based on the selection of another.  I'm finishing up a project for a client and needed to add this.  We've been using the trial and need to purchase a lic.  If this doesn't work we might as well use another provider as replacing the other controls would be pretty easy.
