We are not aware of such problem with the RadDocking performance. Could you please share with us some more information - what is the view (the pane) content? Please, note that when a pane is floating, it is placed into a ToolWindow which is placed into other window(in other words - the RadDocking control and its floating panes are placed in a separated windows). This could be the reason why the CPU usage doesn't move when item is opened in a floating window.
