    I added the reference to Telerik.Web.UI.  Both the .net framework and the dll are for version 3.5.  I have added the radinput box and everything worked fine.  But when I hadded the rad script manager I received the error, Could not load file or assembly Telerik.Web.UI in the actual VS Designer.  There are no smart tags that I can see to force the update in the web.config for the httphandlers section.  Is there a way to turn smart tags on?

    Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

    Thanks

    Hi Devon,

    If this error has happened after updating to a newer version, a possible cause is that the version in the reference to the Telerik.Web.Design assembly does not match the version of the new assembly. In your web.config you have the following reference:
    <add assembly="Telerik.Web.Design, Version=2010.2.929.35, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=121FAE78165BA3D4" />

    I suggest you either update the above version to match that of the updated assembly or remove the ", Version.." part entirely.

    I hope this helps.
