Have run the install WinForms application.

Cannot seem to find and reference to setting up the Visual Studio 2008 Pro Toolbox -- i.e. so I can drag and drop the controls needs on various WinForms etc.

Thoughts on this, much apprieated :-)

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for writing.

We are aware of Toolbox issue in the Visual Studio 2008 - we will address it in the upcoming release.

Currently, you could manually
add RadControls to the Toolbox. Please, see the following KB article on how to this:
http://www.telerik.com/support/kb/article/b454K-mmm-b454T-ckd-b454c-ckd.aspx

If you need additional assistance, do not hesitate to contact me again.

Hmmm, what am I missing. I'm trying to follow the KB article at http://www.telerik.com/support/kb/article/b454K-mmm-b454T-ckd-b454c-ckd.aspx but none of the RAD Controls for WinForms are showing up in the list when I select "Choose Items". I even just ran a repair install and still not there. I see all the Telerik Reporting items but nothing for WinForms. Do I need to browse to the dlls in the Program Files folder instead of trying to find them under .net Framework Components?

I did just install VS 2008 SP1 before installing the latest Telerik WinForms controls.

Hello Dan Duda,

Thank you for getting back to me.

I suppose that you have experienced the missing registry settings issue for the Telerik assemblies. Please try the approach described here:
http://www.telerik.com/support/kb/article/b454K-bame-b454T-ckd-b454c-ckd.aspx

Let me know if this does not solve the issue.
Don't hesitate to contact me again, if you have other questions.

Sincerely yours,

I'm using VB2008, installed Telerik report (trial) for WinForm, check registry - all good but can not see the report component in "Add New Item". Is there any one got it sortted out in VB2008?

Thanks,

Hi Tony Vu,

Thank you for contacting us. If you do not have form templates installed automatically, you can add them manually. This functionality should be common to VS and not related to the .net language that you use.

I hope this helps. Do not hesitate to write me back if you have further questions.

Greetings,
