Hi,

I have installed RadControls_for_Silverlight_4_2010_1_0422_DEV on to 3 PCs with VS 2010 and Win 7. I found that the Telerik controls were correctly added to the toolbox on one machine but not the other two.

However when I installed the Microsoft Toolbox from Codeplex these Controls were successfully added to the "All Silverlight Controls" group.

I shall manually add them but I thought you should know that there seems to be a problem.

Regards,
Jason

Hi Wolfgang Kaiser,

As my colleague Veselin Vasilev has indicated in a related support thread, our controls should be added to the toolbox automatically. We are investigating why this might not happen and we will try to fix this issue for our next release.

In the mean time you could add our controls to the toolbox using the manual approach.

Sincerely yours,

I just upgraded to Q2 2010 SP2 and needless to say each time I upgrade all my manually added Telerik silverlight controls dissappear again from the toolbox.
I have to add the controls again manually (note that I am doing this with each patch / upgrade). Did you ever try to do this?   There are literally a 100 + controls ... where are the ones that I have to add?  There's no multi selection I have to click each control line by line.   Is there a list somewhere?   Or better a script to re-add the controls to the toolbox automatically?

This is painful and definately not the type of productivity enhancement thai I need.

Thanks,
Wolf

Hello Wolfgang Kaiser,

I am sending you a .reg file which will add our controls to the Visual studio toolbox. Once the file is executed it will create the needed registry entries. Before running the file you should probably edit it to see if all file path are correct.

Also, it will be a good idea to check if those entries haven't been added already. The registry path where those entries are added is "[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\10.0\ToolboxControlsInstaller". If you see child registry entries similar to "Telerik.Windows.Controls.MediaPlayer" then our controls were added to the toolbox and there might be some problem with the toolbox itself. If that's the case you might try resetting the toolbox.

Kind regards,
Milan

Hi Jyoti,

This forum is for RadControls for Silverlight, as I can see in the screenshot you're using RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX, please post any questions/issues related to RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX in the corresponding forum:
