Hello there

My project has failed after the upgrade till 2011.3.

When I select "Update database from model" the connection is not available. A click on New connection returns an error "No datasource available". The project was working fine before the upgrade to 2011.3.

The attached screenshots shows the available information and the error.

Sometimes, and I have not figured out when, I get to the next step in the Update database wizard. It then fails there. While doing this ticket I was unable to get to that point, if I do I will screenshot that as well.

Hello Netforce,

The error arises because the ADO.NET driver for MySQL is not installed on this machine. The Update Database from Model is unable to resolve the MySQL DDX provider. In order to avoid the issue you should download and install the MySQL Connector/NET.
Hope that helps.

Best wishes,

Hello there

Thank you for the help. I had the connector installed, but it seems that something had been broken. A reinstall solved that part.

However something is still very wrong. I have added a new Domain Class and new properties, but the Upgrade database from model does not indicate any changes. See attached screenshot.

The Update model from database also gives an error, I have attached a screenshot for that as well.

Any ideas concerning what might have gone wrong?

Hi Netforce,

Could you please try to update to the latest version of the product – 2011.3.1129.2. We tried to reproduce the error on our side and everything works fine. If you continue facing the problems after the update please provide us with a sample application that demonstrates the wrong behavior to investigate the cause for the issue further.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.

All the best,
