Is there any way to clean up the isolated storage before running a Silvelight test with WebAii?

Hello Claudio,

Thanks for the post and question.

Please try ActiveBrowser.ClearCache(BrowserCacheType.TempFilesCache);

That didn't do it, the Silvelight Isolated Storage is different from the browser's temp file cache.

Hello again Claudio,

Sorry for the confusion. You are right, they are separate. Currently the framework does not have support for interacting with the Silverlight Isolated Storage. I'll log it as a feature request as it would be a good addition.

In the meantime, I did find that the Isolated Storage is kept on disk. It should be possible for you to write your own code to clear it. Check these blog posts:

Thanks Cody.

Yes, I'm doing the cleaning myself but it will be better if there is a WebAii way of doing it.

Thanks for logging the request.

Is there any progress with this feature? When could we expect it to be added to the framework?

Hi,

I am sorry to have to report that we have not implemented this feature. Neither it is currently scheduled for implementation.

I've created a new entry in our PITS system for this (which didn't exist back in April 2010). The more votes it gets the higher it moves up on our priority list relative to all feature requests we currently have.

All the best,

Hi Cody.  I was researching this as well as I need to clear out Silverlight Isolated Storage.  This thread is pretty old, so has this been implemented with the Test Studio framework or is there something I can do within my tests as a workaround in the event it has not been implemented in the product?

Thanks,
Rob
