Good day Telerik,

We are the TFS Scrum template.  With this we have a filter on the Backlog that only shows stories with status Approved and not assigned to a sprint.  Currently we have a situation were there are a few stories that have had a significant reduction in priority to the point that we would like to remove them from Planning | Backlog but keep them in Requirements | View Stories list.

Is there any way to move these stories' status back to New so that they drop out of the Backlog but are retained in View Stories? These stories are not yet synced with TFS as we only sync stories in a sprint.  I'd rather not delete and recreate the stories as there are some story relationships that I'd rather not recreate.

Ideas?

Thanks,

Edmund

Hi,

If you move the items to the 'Removed' status, from there you will be able to move them back to the 'New' status.

If moving things from Approved to New is a common occurrence for you, consider adding a transition directly from Approved to New by editing the advance project settings xml available via the Settings Tab > Project Settings > Advanced Settings. More information available here: Editing TeamPulse Project Settings

However, since you are syncing with TFS, you would also need to adjust your TFS project's process template to include the transition. This is a bit more involved, and you will not be able to sync if your TFS and TeamPulse project statuses and transitions do not match.

Greetings,
