Yes, the TimeBar buttons has their themes specific design which corresponds to our themes. Here is a demo demonstrating this.
Attached you can find implicit styles which you can modify in order to get your buttons customized. The style with TargetType="telerik:ItemControl" targets the elements below the content and the one with TargetType="telerik:GroupControl" targets the elements above the content. You need to modify the borders with x:Name="border". I hope this helps.
