We've been using TeamPulse for a week or two now and have decided that we're going to stick with it for managing our projects.
When we installed it in a testing capacity we chucked it on a fresh SQL Express instance to keep it isolated from our production data.

However we'd now like to move it to our fully-fledged instance and was wondering if there was a simple procedure for doing this while retaining all the existing projects/users/etc that are currently loaded into the TeamPulse database? Preferably without having to reinstall!

Thanks.

Hello Matthew,

The easiest way would be to reinstall TeamPulse and restore a backup of the current database over the freshly installed one. Please follow the steps below to ensure a smooth transfer.

1. Deactivate your licence (VERY IMPORTANT!)
2. Backup the TeamPulse database
3. Uninstall TeamPulse
4. Install TeamPulse, pointing it to the SQL Server you want to use
5. Restore the backed up TeamPulse database over the fresh one that was installed
6. Activate your licence

Also, if your SQL server is on a different server than the one you are installing TeamPulse on you might want to check out this blog post (http://blogs.telerik.com/teampulse/posts/10-08-04/changing_your_teampulse_integration_service_account_credentials.aspx) to work around an issue we have found with the installer. Let us know how it all works out.
