Cell width / resources

i have a scheduler with a number of resources. if i change the view to week/month, the cells shrink so small i can't read anything. i have tried to find something on horizontal scrolling, but i cannot get anything to work. i would like to be able to just set the cell width and have the horizontal scrolling kick in.

I don't have a 'columnwidth' property available to me. I thought I was up-to-date with my version, but could that be the problem?
