I am using version 3.5.2 of the TabStrip control and wasn't receiving the  tabStrip_Validating event.  When I went to the properties of the tabstrip control to check the setting of the CausesValidation property I couldn't find one.  I did check the RootElement too and there isn't such a property there either.

Please could you advise.

Best regards

Marek

Hi Marek,

Did you saw our Validation example under Integration > Common Functionality > Validation category? It should show you how to use validation with our controls.

Could you explain in more detail what do you expect from RadControls validating mechanism? We tested and everything seems fine. Please transfer your request to support ticket and send us if possible a small test project, thus we will be able to test it locally.

Hi Dimitar
I did try the sample you mention and after poking around for a bit have found the problem.  In the design time, the RadTabStrip does not expose the CausesValidation property - not that I could find anyway.  The default setting for the property is false, so I was not getting the event fired.  I have programmatically set radTabStrip.CausesValidation = true and all is now working as expected.

Best regards

Indeed, Marek, sorry for not mentioning this in our previous reply. We will make sure the CausesValidation property is visible in the next version of the controls.

We are happy to hear the you managed to sort out the issue. Let us know if you have other questions.
