I installed evaluation version of telerik controls for Silverlight. After adding DLL files in references directory under project, I'm not able to see telerik controls under custom controls in Expression Blend. I have Blend veriosn 2 with SP1. Please assist.

Thanks,
Bhooshan

Hello Bhooshan,

You need to add references to all Telerik Silverlight assemblies to your project and Blend will automatically display the controls.

All the best,

Thanks for reply Valeri. I added all the files as reference under my references directory but yet Blend does not display the controls. I don't know how will I get these to use.

Hi Bhooshan,

We have never experienced such an issue, but I have a few suggestions:
  1. Make sure that you have added Telerik.Windows.Controls assembly
  2. Make sure you haven't  started a WPF project. Make a new project to try again, be sure it is Silverlight  2.
  3.  After adding the references to our .DLLs build the project.

If this doesn't help please provide some more info:
  1. Did you get some kind of error when you added references or when you tried to build
  2. What happens If you load the project you created in VS2008?
  3. If you try to use one of our controls by directly writing in the xaml, will you get an error or everything will be working fine.

Best wishes,
