I have just installed 01120Telerik.WebUI.TestStudio.QA.2010.3.1502_Trial from telerik, I have recorded on IE and playback on IE and FF are OK.
But when I playback on Safari 5.0.3 and Chrome 10, only open browser with URL (step 1) and does not execute other steps
Could you please tell me this WebUI version supports which version of two browsers above on Silverlight?

Hi Phuong,

Yes, WebAii Testing Framework does support those versions of Chrome and Safari. The requirements are listed on this page. Can you send us  a sample test that hangs on you? Does a very simple test that navigates to Google or Bing produce the same problem?

Thanks for your reply,

I used sample test from Microsoft Silverlight Toolkit v4.0 and I deploy it to localhost. After that, I used WebUI recorded it on IE8. I can playback on IE and FF. But my client request execute on 4 browsers: IE, FF, Safari and Chrome (my application is Silverlight). I hope in next build, WebUI can playback on Safari and Chrome.

Thanks so much,
Phuong Nguyen

Hi Phuong,

Are you trying to test a Silverlight application? If yes, while a test is running can you check your proxy settings (see the attached screenshot)? We try to automatically insert our proxy in order to hook into Silverlight applications. Sometimes something interferes with our ability to automatically enable our proxy.

Kind regards,

I seem to be running into something similar (if I understand the original problem correctly).  Chrome loads - navigates to page - then can't find the silverlight app.

I checked my proxy setting while the test was running and it looks similar to your but not exactly the same so I tried manually configuring my proxy to be like your settings but it didn't work

I'm on chrome 24.0.1312.57 m

Any help would be appreciated

Hello Adam,

The proxy settings from your screenshot appear to be correct.

Although the various solutions listed in this troubleshooting guide are not specific to Chrome, please try any that apply to your scenario. More specifically, seeing as you are using the Telerik Testing Framework, make sure you have set the SilverlightEnabled property to true in the first line of your test:

Settings.Current.Web.EnableSilverlight = true;

Please let me know whether my suggestion helps.
