I am trying to install RadControls for ASPNET AJAX Q2 2008 on D drive and I get this error:
"Error 1303. The installer has insufficient priviledges to access directory C:/Program Files/Telerik/Charting/2.0.5. The installation cannot continue. Log as an administrator or contact your system administrator."

It is trying to access C: drive event though I selected to install on D:.

Hi Gene,

I am afraid that this is a generic problem with the windows installer. I suggest you look at this article or try Google.

If you still experience problems it will be best if you install the controls from the provided zip files. Detailed information of how to do this is available in our Knowledge Base.

Hi,
Thanks for quick reponse.

That one part of the problem.

But the the other issue is that it still installs on C drive (the Telerik.Charting.dll) even though I selected D drive in the custom install.

Shortly after the the post I noticed that I had a VS 2008 project open that referenced it.  Once I closed VS, 1303 went away.

I'm also facing same problem.

Eventhough I've selected D drive, it is trying to install in C drive. As I don't have enough space in C drive, I'm stuck

Hi Varghese,

Would you please confirm what installer are you currently using for installing the Telerik products? If you are using the Telerik Control Panel I would suggest to check the settings and set the Download Folder Location to a different path if still set to your full drive.

Also please note, that even you have selected a different install location for a product, the Windows Installer still uses the drive where your OS is deployed for caching.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I've used the following istaller
KendoUITrialForASPNETMVC_2013_2_716.exe

Anyhow, after making required space in C drive, the installation went through fine and installed the selected components in D drive.
