Would it be possible to support Multiscale control in CF to show DeepZoom images instead of just the Image control?
Thanks!

Hello Ben,

The CoverFlow control doesn't supports controls as its items at all. It works with Image controls, because we take the ImageSource of the Image and throw the control away. Unfortunately in Silverlight 2 it is not possible to do perspective transformations on any kind of controls.

Hi Miroslav;

Could you please consider it with Q3 for SL3? Or if not CF, but having that available as part of Carousel Control where the item could be anything and not just image?

Thanks!

Even though you cannot use MultiScale control in a CF, you can simulate a similar effect.

Use a canvas to host your MultiScale and use Events of Cover Flow selection to bring up the canvas with a double animation... It works pretty cool.

Hi Venu;

Thanks for suggestion. Actually I thought about that last night, since I had done similar thing by bringing a video up and playing it on the top of the image. If the support is not going to take place or too far away, then that will be my choice.

Thanks again for sharing thoughts!

Hi guys,

For Q3 we have vague plans for porting RadDocking to WPF and most probably there will be no time for improvements in RadCoverflow, since the developers who work on it also work on RadDocking. It is too early to say what will happen after several months, though.

Hey Valeri, thanks for being up front and letting us know what may not take place in Q3. Now that you have hinted that CF may not get more time, I may have to implement it the way Venu had suggested it.
