is it possible to have the default drop down
set in the filter

"contains"
and not
"is equal to"

the problem is that "is equal to" is case sensative and sql server is not.
so domain data service filtering and paging is funky on the "is equal to" filter.

for most operations "cotains" is sufficient and advisable
albeit with some performance considerations

thanks

Hi David Ocasio,

There is no way to do this out of the box.

The proper way would be to develop your own custom filtering control and you will have full power over what is going on. This example demonstrates how to do this.

Best wishes,

i understand

though,

I would sure like the filters to be consistent in  their case insensativity.
I cannot even fathom a case when I would need case sensativity.
An option to turn this on or off would be great.

thanks
