In the native SplitView, when you rotate the IPad to Portrait, the Left panel is hidden, and a button it added to the top left.  When this is selected the Left panel displays as a popup.

When I am testing the KendoUI Mobile demo for SplitView, it stays visible on Portrait rotation, and shrinks the width of the right panel.

Is this functionality existing or planned for the future?

Hello Steve,

I am afraid currently the described functionality is not supported and there are no specific plans for its implementation. Our team will appreciate it if you submit this idea as a feature request at our UserVoice page so the community can evaluate and vote for it. If this suggestion turns out to be popular, we will consider its implementation for future releases.

On a side note, if you are interested in what is coming next you may take a look at the Kendo UI official roadmap.
