can 2012 Q1 sp1's richtextbox input a chinese words?

I am going to buy  2012 Q1 sp1 silverlight developer version
but I test it in official online demo
It's there something wrong when I input chinese charactor the control display corrrect charactor , but when I confirm input, the charactor missing, so is there some feature I must set when input a chinese charactor?
or radcontrol can not support chinese.

I searching in issue tracker, I find this ime problem raised by someone before with issue id =4584, and resolved in 2011 Q2 sp+, so why in 2012 Q1 can not still input chinese charactor?

I am worry about it, I hope anyone can explain this clearly asap, thanks

Hello Yunfei,

We are not aware of any issues with the IME input of RadRichTextBox. Can you provide some more details as to which keyboard exactly you are using, e.g. Chinese (Simplified) - Microsoft Pinyin ABC Input Style. Furthermore, it will be very helpful if you could list the buttons you are pressing or even record a video using Jing illustrating the behavior in the editor and the one in MS Word.

Hi Iva,
I am very sorry ,I found the really reason about this issue. 
It isn't the problem from radcontrol, the reason is the silverlight  verion.
        In 5.0.6***, the issue raised. and in 5.1.10411.0 ,the IME is ok.
anyway, thanks your help, I can use radconrtol without any concern.
and you'd better force your demo site use 5.1.1 higher version, so anybody like my use chinese tradition charactor can see it's can meet our require very well.

Hi Wang,

RadRichTextBox uses internally sytem's TextBox for showing an IME editor and for handling the input. Therefore, most probably the limitations you have observed are Silverlight specific.

Introducing different support for IMEs is not planned for now.

For now we are not considering to add support for other IMEs rather than the Microsoft IME. You can vote for the feature and track eventual future progress in the public issue tracker.
