The C:\ProgramData\Telerik\Installer\Downloads folder on my PC contains several older MSI install packages that are taking up a noticeable amount of space.  Can I safely delete them?   (keeping the ones for the most current version of Telerik of course).

Thanks.

Hello Mike,

You can definitely remove any old Telerik installations from your system. I would also recommend that you check whether they are listed in the Programs and Features section on your machine - if they are, it is safer to uninstall them from there.

Also, if you haven't used the Telerik Control Panel please give it a try as it manage all Telerik installations for you.

Hi, thanks.

I just want to clarify as I may not have given enough info in my original post.

I do use (and have been using) the telerik control panel.  It is the telerik control panel that put all those .MSI files in this folder.   The only thing in the windows control panel programs is the latest telerik components.

So I just wanted to confirm if I can safely delete all MSI files that are not the most current components.  Or will that mess with the control panel?

thanks.

Hi Mike,

Feel free to delete the content of the %programdata%\Telerik\Installer\Downloads folder. Currently we store the installation files there in order to provide quick maintenance of the installed products without having to download the installers again.

You can manually delete the installation files or use the Delete Cached Installer Packages functionality in the Options dialog (see attachment) of the Telerik Control Panel.

Please let me know if any questions arise.
