Button click not recorded, quick task gives error

Hi guys,

I am having a small issue right now with the recording process.
I need to click on a "create" button to create an account and the step is
not being recoded in IE. When I click on it the account will be created but
there is no step added to the test for clicking on the button.

In Firefox and Chrome it does record the step for clicking the button but
the toolbar is preventijng me from doing so at the moment.

I tried using the Quick task menu to verify or use something in there to
make it work but am getting an error.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hello Victor,

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing this behavior.

Since the recording of the button works with Firefox and Chrome one way to proceed is to record the step with one of the browsers.

The other workaround on this will be if you use blind click as shown in this article.

I am providing you with workarounds instead of actual solution because within a few weeks we will be releasing the latest Test Studio version with entirely new recorder.

but will try to use the work around until the new release comes out.

Hello Victor,

Please note that the blind click is made depending on specific coordinates, so executing the test on different resolutions may results in inconsistent behavior. In such cases you should re-record the click for the specific resolution.
