Hi,

I'm using telerik (v2010.2.826.35) RadUpload control. The control works fine in IE9, but when I use it in IE8, the browse button doesn't work (the dialogue box on browse button click doesn't opens).

Can you please provide some solution to this.

One more condition, I can't apply meta tag in the head section of the page to set the document mode to IE7 as there's some kind of bindings in my application.

Thanks

Sumit

Hi Sumit,

The experienced problem is a known issue with the version of the controls that you are using. It is already fixed so please try to upgrade if possible.

All the best,

Thanks for the reply.

Does the latest version supports .Net framework 3.5?

Sumit:

The current ASP.NET AJAX RadControls v2011.3.115, including the RadUpload, support the .NET 3.5 and 4.0 frameworks.

See the .NET Support page for details.

Cheers!

Hi,

I am experiencing the same issue - the button that you use to select the files on your PC does not work - it shows the text selection cursor icon when you hover over the select button, and when you click it, it places a cursor inside the selected file input box.

This happens on version 8.0.6001.18702 of Internet explorer, but i cannot recreate it on version 8.0.7600.16385.

I can recreate the issue using Telerik ASP.NET Ajax controls version 2010.2.929.35/40 and  2011.3.1305.35/40

I have recreated this issue in a fresh web project - just drop a radupload control on a blank aspx page and run it

This means that a bug is still alive and kicking in your most recent version of the controls.

I suspect it will be suggested that we upgrade the browser, but the clients are government and this is not possible.

I have tried changing EnableFileInputSkinning to false, but this made no difference.  I even set EnableAjaxSkinRendering to false also, but the select button just turns into a button input element with no text on it, which is about 2 pixels wide and does nothing when you click on it.

Hi Guy,

Could you please check whether this behavior is reproduced on our online demos?

Hello.

We have a similar problem with an ASP.NET Web Forms FileUpload control.
I don't know if this important, but this control is placed inside a RadWindow.
Can you please tell me what is the root cause of this problem?

Thank you.

Hello,

Could you please confirm that you are replicating this problem if the ASP.NET Web Forms FileUpload control is placed outside the RadWindow?

Hi again.

I am not sure what was causing this, but I have solved it by replacing the ASP.NET upload control with your RadControl.
For some reason, this had no problems.
