Hello,
I had the blank simulator problem after the last update. I read there was a fix for graphite. So I uninstalled and did a new install.
But still the same problem.
I pay for Icenium and I can't develop since the last update (25 june).
Please fix it soon!!!

Hello Martin,
If the problem still persists you can try to open the console window from debug tools in the simulator and see whether there is some error reported there.Regards,

Can you please try the following procedure to cleanup your Graphite's installation:
- Close all Icenium Graphite instances. Open the Task Manager and make sure that there are no running processes with the name Icenium.Graphite.exe
- Delete all contents in the %localappdata%\Temp\IceDeviceSimulator folder.
- Delete all contents in the %localappdata%\Telerik\BlackDragon\Cache folder.

Hello,
Thank you for your response.
I cleaned up the installation but the simulator is still blank.
The debug console is also empty.
Thanks in advance,
Martin

Hi Martin,
Does this happen with a particular project of yours or with a new project as well? If only with a particular project, can you share its name so we can have a look?
As for the console, this is Cordova regression, see this post for more information.

Steve

Hi Martin,
I've just re-downloaded your OfficeHeart project and it works properly in the Graphite simulator. Can you confirm that this is the project you're having problems with or some of the other OfficeHeart... projects in your account? If the problem is with this particular project, in order to get more info about the issue, please run FiddlerCap (with the Decrypt HTTPS Traffic option enabled) before launching Graphite. This is a tool that will intercept the HTTP requests Graphite performs and give you the option to save them to disk. We will need the FiddlerCap capture and also the Graphite logs located in %LocalAppData%\Telerik\BlackDragon\Logs.
On a side note, does everything work as expected if you open your project in Mist instead?

Steve

Hello Martin,
Thank you for the logs, however both do not contain anything that could hint of a problem with the simulator and the fact that your project works on our end makes it even more puzzling. Can you try this on another machine if possible?
Also I know we've asked you to do this before, but can you again clear the simulator and Graphite cache?

Steve

Hello Martin,
Thanks for sticking with us through this, it really gets baffling. Graphite has an option to send anonymous usage statistic to us, which has also stopped working since your last update, so we have a suspicion that something else, outside the scope of Graphite has changed on your machine e.g. firewall or antivirus installation/change? Can you temporarily disable both on the problematic machine and try to run Graphite again to see what would happen.
Also, as you do this, please take a screenshot that shows the blank simulator and at the same time (while the simulator is opened and blank) take a screenshot of the %localappdata%\Temp\IceDeviceSimulator\WebBrowser folder. Then attach them to this forum thread, so we can see them.
Just to be on the safe side, can you check whether there is either one of the CefSharp.dll or CefSharp.Wpf.dll assemblies in C:\Windows\assembly?

Steve

Hello Martin,
Can you share what is the exact windows version (type winver on the start screen) and is it localized? Also what is the laptop model? We also want to clarify whether Graphite was ever working on this exact laptop or you were using another machine prior?

Hi Martin,
We've tested on a Windows 8 device with touchscreen but everything worked correctly. We would need one more thing from you - screenshot of the %localappdata%\Temp\IceDeviceSimulator\WebBrowser\DevTools folder while the simulator in Graphite is running.
For the time being until we identify what has gone bad, please use Mist or another machine to continue your development.

Steve

Hello Martin,
We're currently investigating the problem and would follow up once we have more info or require more actions from you. For now, could you please install Jing or some other free video capture software, and send us a video that shows how you run the simulator, enable debug and click on the debug tools (or resize them). Then try to rotate the device using the rotate buttons.
Thanks for your involvement!

Hi Martin,
After further investigation another client reported that an update to his video card drivers has resolved the problem. He is using a laptop that has the same video card as yours, so please try updating your video card drivers and let us know how it goes.
