I am interested in hooking into an API like Flurry or Mixpanel or KissMetrics.  There are plenty of offerings with specific iOS or Android APIs, but as someone who would be calling them from Javascript in an AppBuilder-bundled app, I wonder which ones are best for this?

It would be especially good if they could continue to function at times when the device is not connected to the Internet (and replay activity to the server when the app is next connected).  I'm sure this could be custom-written to use LocalStorage or whatnot, but I wondered if there are any libraries or tools that are conducive to this?

Hi Jeff,

Actually, Telerik Platform also offers such service—Telerik Analytics. It offers tracking application metrics, storing them in the cloud, and visualizing them with rich graphics. Telerik Analytics keeps working in your mobile app even when the device is offline by storing the analytics data on the device and uploading it the next time the device is connected.

To learn more about Telerik Analytics, check the product documentation and get started by adding an Analytics project in one of your apps.

Any insights on any other services?  I'm glad to know about Telerik Analytics, but it's expensive for me and I am hesitant to be locked into Telerik.

Hello Jeff,

I should note that your current subscription does include a Telerik Analytics license, so based on the features you need to use, you may not need to pay more for this service.

As for other services, we cannot recommend you a specific one but you can research what are the most recommended solutions for Cordova apps and you can use them in your AppBuilder app, too. Some of the ones you mentioned in your initial post are available as Cordova plugins which you can import in AppBuilder as custom plugins and test their metrics functionality.
