I have been experimenting with the Barcode control and I am able to reproduce what appear to be accurate duplicates of the barcodes I am testing with, however none of the digital barcodes will scan from my phone via their respective vendor.  Is there more complexity to Barcode generation that matching type, size, and number?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for writing.

I am not quite sure that I correctly understand the scenario you have. Could you please shed some light on what do you mean with the following:

"scan from my phone via their respective vendor."

Additionally, is there a way for us to reproduce the behavior on our side to be sure we perform the accurate investigation?

Thanks for your time.

Sorry if I wasn't clear.

By "scan from my phone via their respective vendor."   I meant the barcode that was created on the phone using your Barcode control, which looks visually identical to the original, is not able to be scanned by the vendor (place of business) for which the original barcode was for.

ie.  I have a loyalty card for a gym membership.  I can reproduce the barcode on the phone.  The phone barcode will not scan via the gym scanner.  The original will scan without issue.

I am specifically using RadBarcodeEAN13 and RadBarcode39.   None of the barcodes generated via your BarCode control can be scanned by a standard barcode reader OR a visual scanner such as the one built into the Windows Phone 8 Bing Search App.

As far as reproduction I'm not sure, do you have an example using either the above barcodes that is able to be scanned so that I can compare my implementation to yours?

Hi Michael,

Thanks for writing back.

I have now better understanding of your scenario.

The only possible way to go now would be to exactly reproduce your scenario on our side and see what happens. Is there a way to do this?

According to the generation-reading tests we have performed on our BarCode control there are no known issues and any further details or samples you send us will be extremely helpful.

Thanks for your time.
