Automatic check-out

Hi,

It would be very nice I OA could check-out files (from Visual SourceSafe or any other currently used source control tool)) by itself - as Visual Studio does. I had to repeat my work because I forgot to check-out some files a lot of times - too many.

 This is a scheduled task and OA would automatically check-out files that it needs to modify.

You can expect this to be working in the near future.

Hello,

Just wondering, has this been fixed already? I recently downloaded the free edition 2011 Q3 and I notice I manually have to check out all the files if I want to use the Data Services Wizard.

Furthermore I would like to say that, although we are still testing to see if it works for us, this product looks very promising so far!

Hi John,

Unfortunately it is not fixed for the Data Services Wizard. We are currently in the process of replacing the wizard itself with a service generation add-in and we are going to implement this and many other necessary features there. For the time being you can proceed with the practice of checking-out the items you need to change.
