I am looking for information on the exepriences of other users with regard to automation testing application using telerik controls.

I see that telerik does not support the UI Automation object included in the Microsoft .NET 3.5 framework.  How have other users approached this issue?  Has anyone used Accesibility successfully for this purpose?  Are there any other approaches?

Thank you for your time and your response.

Hi Steven,

Thank you for your interest in RadControls for WinForms.

RadControls for WinForms supports Microsoft Active Accessibility (MSAA) technology.
We do not support UIA, because our controls are built upon .NET Framework 2.0. The support for .NET 2.0 allows you to create Automated tests using Visual Studio IDE.

You should use Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate or Visual Studio 2010 Premium to create automated tests of the user interface (UI) known as coded UI tests. For more information, please refer to the following MSDN article: Supported Configurations and Platforms for Coded UI Tests.

Do not hesitate to contact us if you have other questions.

Regards,
