I am not sure how long this has been going on but I just figured out what was going on when I downloaded the latest internal build from within the JustCode update window within VS (2008).

The password field correctly accepts entering characters but once the delete key, backspace, enter keys (who knows about any other ones) are pressed the update window does not trap those key presses but instead the code file behind in VS traps those keys and changes the code. The only way to undo the Password is to select it with the mouse and type over it again.

The update window should also have a minimize button to get it off of the screen. I am glad it was changed to not be modal but should not be forced to stay on top.

Thanks,
Steve

p.s. This is a really good tool but these little things really hurt in usability.

Hi Steve,

We've addressed these system keys issues recently and they should be fixed in the latest internal build (released at the end of last week). So you shouldn't worry about such behavior once the next official build is available. Thanks for the kind words and stay in touch.
