Can I attach to an installed service (via .msi) using JustTrace and have it monitor cpu/memory?  If not, what tool do you suggest?

Also, if I were to just run the program with Visual Studio instead of installing, how long can I allow JustTrace to run?

Hello Joel,

You can attach to any .NET or Native process with JustTrace, by following these articles from our online documentation:
 - Attach to .NET process
 - Attach to Native process

Further, there are no limitations for how long JustTrace can profile your application. The only constraint could be the memory on your machine when profiling the app with the JustTrace memory profiler. This is so, as JustTrace needs not a small amount of memory when taking snapshots. However, this amount is a lot smaller, compared to the needed extra memory when JustTrace attaches to an already running processes.

I hope this helps. Please, let me know if you need further assistance.
