Using your ScheduleView demo I have tried to implement the Template process as described in your help file here.
When doing so, the appointment template does not seem to change. No errors are produced and the call to the class seems to return the correct template based on the View selection. (I'm happy to provide you sample mocked up but this should be trivial enough for you to reproduce.)
Would you please advise if this is a bug.

Hi Mark,
We have created and attached here a sample project demonstrating the exact approach described in our article. Please note we have used Implicit Styles to style the ScheduleView.
