Hello.

As far as all of you know, the native Windows phone ApplicationBar control does not allow text bindings. For this reason, it is impossible from the developers side to create a Multilingual application bar at the design time and the bar has to be created and initialized at run-time.
Does Telerik have any thoughts of creating their own Application Bar control that can solve such kind of problems? I believe that it would be a very nice addition to the amazing 'UI for Windows Phone' toolkit.

Thank you very much.

Hello Efthymios,

Thanks for writing and for your feedback.

Yes, we have considered implementing a custom Application Bar component but since there wasn't any significant demand for such we postponed its implementation.

Since I cannot give you any promises right now, my suggestion would be to log your request here:

Feedback and Feature Requests for Windows Phone

and make sure you vote for it. If the demand for this component increases, we will put on our TODO list.

Thanks for your time.

Hello Morgan,

That's correct. WP8.1 developers can now utilize the bindable CommandBar that comes from Windows RT.
