It is highly unfortunate that you are experiencing issues with AppBuilder.
To be able to assist you further, we will need the logs from %localappdata%\Telerik\BlackDragon\Logs. Also, you can check if there are any errors in the Windows event log. To do this, open the Start menu and type Event Viewer (or View Event Logs for Windows 8 and above) in it. Then, in the Event Viewer window navigate to Windows Logs > Application and check for anything suspicious. If you find something related to AppBuilder, or Icenium, please send it with your next reply.
Finally, you can check if deleting the AppBuilder cache will solve the issue. In order to do this, delete the content inside the %localappdata%\Telerik\BlackDragon\Cache folder and check for improvement.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.

The issue could have occurred in the time we were releasing AppBuilder 2.8.1. If this is the case, the matter should have been temporary and you shouldn't be experiencing it anymore.
However, if the above is not so and you are still unable to load your project, I would kindly ask you to open a new support ticket and send us the following information:
- Fiddler trace of the crash. To produce such trace, you can follow the next steps.
1. Download Fiddler from here and install it.
2. Run Fiddler and go to Tools -> Fiddler Options.
3. On the HTTPS page, verify that Capture HTTPS Connects is enabled.
4. Verify that Decrypt HTTPS traffic is enabled with the ...from all processes option and minimize Fiddler to tray.
5. Try to reproduce the issue.
6. In Fiddler, go to File -> Save -> All Sessions, save the archive to disk. This will produce a SAZ.
7. Zip the .saz file and attach it in the ticket.
- The AppBuilder logs, found under %localappdata%\Telerik\BlackDragon\Logs
- Logs from the Windows Event Viewer. To check if there are any, you can navigate to the Windows Start menu and search for the Event Viewer application. In it, you will need to open Windows Logs > Application and see if there are any logs for AppBuilder.
Further, you should be able to attach all of the above information in the support ticket. Note that, you will need to archive it first.

i had similar issue: right after starting up the AppBuilder Win client the app just crashed with no error in event log or logfiles.
it helped to clear the cache folder but it took 3 hours of my life :-(
Thank you for sharing this with the community. Just an addition, the AppBuilder cache can be found under: %localappdata%\Telerik\BlackDragon\Cache
