Dear All,

We are about to start a mobile based project and currently evaluating which platform/framework to use for the development.  Our requirement is to be able to support iOS (Phone/Tablet), Android (Phone/Tablet), Windows (Phone/Tablet).  However, based on our research, AppBuilder does not support deployment/running on Windows Tablet.

Is our understanding correct? Are there any other work around that we can do to support Windows Tablet?

Thank you.

Regards,

Art

Telerik Web site clearly indicates AppBuilder "Build iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8 hybrid apps".  it does not include windows 8+
see  http://www.telerik.com/appbuilder

However, AppBuilder is @ top of Cordova. Cordova supports to build apps for Windows 8+. as well as iOS/Android, Windows Phone 8+, So AppBuilder shall be able to support hybrid apps for windows 8+ (windows tablet)

There might be some entry point inside AppBuilder to allow you to call Cordova CLI directly to build windows store apps

At the same time, I think Telerik may include windows store apps into AppBuilder soon.

Hi Telerik, please provide clarification.

Hi guys,

At the moment you cannot build apps for Windows 8 through AppBuilder. We have such a feature request logged in our feedback portal where you can also cast your vote.

We still cannot bind to any specific time frames for its implementation and I would therefore recommend following the item in the feedback portal to keep track of its state.

Visit the Telerik Verified Plugins Marketplace and get the custom Cordova plugin you need, already tweaked to work seamlessly with AppBuilder.
