Hello;

We recently tried updating to versions 2013.3.1324.40 of Telerik.Web.UI and 4.1.7.1213 of AjaxControlToolkit. We use the Ajax Control Toolkit Script Manager on our application. With this combination, none of the Telerik javascript resources load. If we go back to previous version of toolkit, or use the ASP.NET Script Manager, everything works fine.

Our release cycle is an annual one, so at this point it looks like we will be unable to update Ajax Control Toolkit as updating Telerik is a higher priority for this project. Is there a workaround for this issue?

Thanks,

Richard Shadman

*Bump*

Has anyone been able to look at this? more information: the environment is IIS6 / Windows 2003. Our developer who originally tested the updates did not experience it on their local box which is IIS 7 /Windows 7. The only other difference was the local developer did not that the Ajax Toolkit nor Telerik assemblies referenced in the web.config, just the project.

Hi Richard,

The experienced issue is related to a change in the AjaxControlToolkit listed here:
- You must use the ToolkitScriptManager instead of the ScriptManager with the Ajax Control Toolkit.

The UI for ASP.NET AJAX controls relay entirely on the ScriptManager or the RadScriptManger (which is build on top of the standard ScriptManager) in order to load their embedded resource and to operate correctly. With the new version of the AjaxControlToolkit there has been a significant change in the way resources are being loaded.

We shall additionally research this problem and post an update here once we have more information on the matter.
