Hi,

We are having an issue trying to add Flash and Media content to the site.  We have added the FlashManager and MediaManager buttons to our control (RadHtmlField).  All looks good while editing the content (the media/flash shows and plays), however, when the editor closes (preview, save, publish etc) the html to show the Flash or Media is no longer present (i.e. the HTML wasn't saved).  e.g.

Before Save:
<p><font size="2"><embed style="WIDTH: 150px; HEIGHT: 150px" pluginspage="http://download.microsoft.com/download/winmediaplayer/nsplugin/6.4/WIN98/EN-US/wmpplugin.exe" align="null" src="/en/news/PublishingImages/einstein_precess.avi" type="application/x-mplayer2" /><br />This is a test page.<br /><br />

After Save:
<p><font size=2>

      <br>This is a test page.<br><br>

Thanks in advance,
Grant Holdom.

Hello Grant,

This is a known problem with SharePoint 2007. Some HTML tags (such as embed, object, etc.) are stripped when you submit the page content. This also happens with the default HTML editor and so far we have been unable to find a way to turn off these content filters. We are working on a workaround for the WCM field and web part editors, which will enable you to have flash and media in the editor content. The workaround will be available in the next editor for MOSS release.

Hi,

I have downloaded the latest version of RADEditor for MOSS 2007 full version.  But still the Audio/Video files are not working. After saving Flash/Video files are getting disappeared from the content. As we are going live soon, Could you please help to resolve this issue.

I have also added AllowSpecialTags="True" in listConfigFile.xml, but it is not supported for SharePoint lists/Blogs/Wikis.

So, how can i add the flash content in RADEditor (SharePoint Lists). As it is very important for my application to allow flash / video content thru RADEditor in Lists.

Phani

Hi Phani,

You cannot enter Media / Flash files in SharePoint forms scenarios (Lists, Wikis, Blogs, etc.). There RadEditor does not have control over the presentation view which means that we cannot control the output when it is not in edit mode.
