Does the Telerik RadControls for WPF Control Suite support a user company adding their own theme?  Our designers have been doing a lot of color research with the intent of building a common color theme to be used across our desktop and mobile products.  We were wondering if we could add our own theme(s) to be used by the Telerik WPF controls.  If so, does Telerik provide instructions for doing this type of work?  And also, what is the scope of such a project?

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,

You can absolutely redesign our controls to better fit your overall application look and feel. In order to do so, you can create implicit styles that are based on our default styles or simply take the default style of any RadControl and modify it accordingly to your needs.

I'd recommend first looking at this tutorial. It describes the main principles of the implicit styling mechanism that can be used to restyle our components for WPF. You can also examine this tutorial describing how to colorize the Windows8 theme - this way you can use the default Windows8 RadControls ControlTemplates and only change the color palette used to colorize the theme.

I hope this information will get you started. However, please don't hesitate to write back if you need more information. Also, please let us know if you need any assistance while creating your custom themes.
