Hello Travis Acton,
In short, no our Machine ID does not equal a MAC address. We look at a few characteristics of your machine to calculate what its machine ID is. The CPU ID is one of those pieces of information. The MAC address of your LAN adapter is not part of the equation. Feel free to change your LAN adapter if needed on an already licensed computer.
