Hello there!
Maybe my question is a basic one or not, but I would like to know if it is anyway possible to have the Calendar control to act similarly to the Scheduler ASP.NET Ajax control.
Here we would very much like that kind of functionality in our application, but it seems that the Calendar simply doesn't cut it.
Do we have to program the features needed or is there anyway we may customize it to do this?
Many thanks!

Hello Stargazer,
Thank you for writing.
We still do not have a RadScheduler control in our WinForms suite. RadCalendar is a standalone control and it is different from a scheduler.
We are planning to implement a WinForms counterpart of our RadScheduler for ASP.NET/AJAX and include it in our suite. However, I'm not able to give you a definite time-frame when this will happen.
However, RadCalendar supports the hosting of controls feature. There is a collection, handling the SpecialDays in RadCalendar and the special day has a property named TemplateItem, which you can set to an instance of RadHostItem. RadHostItem is an item which hosts a control. You can also take a look at the SpecialDays example in the QSF under the RadCalendar tree node.
I hope this has shed additional light on what we can and can't do with RadCalendar.
If you have any other questions please write me back.
All the best,
Boyko Markov

Hello!
I see. I think I understood perfectly the issue. :)
I'll delve into the RadHostItem what I can manage to do.
Thanks!

also we need the scheduler in WinForms for our application. Is there in the meantime a stable time-frame?
Thanks

Hi,
I would like to participate in that beta too, because this control is important for our project.
Thanks.
