If the RadRibbonGroup is Collapsed the AcessText does not display. This can been seen in the demo supplied with the product, but setting the Variant priority to 0 for Collapsed in the tabs of the "Telerik Word". Using the AccessKey to select the Tab, shows the AccessText for all the menu option on RadRibbonGroups that are expanded, but not for the groups that are collapsed.

Is there something special that should be done to get this to work correctly?

Thanks

Hello Kendrew,

The AccessText appears in a Tooltip and actually, there is no way to show a ToolTip on a control that is collapsed. So the behavior that you have come up with is expected. Feel free to ask if you have more questions.

Hi,

Just to clarify, I am not talking about a control that is collapsed (i.e. not visible), rather the RadRibbonGroup variant collapsed. In this state the group is shown as a button. If you have a look at Outlook 2010, and shrink the window to cause the groups to collapse then hit the Alt key, the AccessText is shown for the top level menu. Select one of those options and you will see that the access text is shown for the group.

Thanks

Hi Kendrew,

Please first excuse me for not understanding you the first time. We agree that this behavior is a bug in the RadRibbonView. So we logged it in our PITS where you are able to track its status and vote for. We also updated your telerik account points accordingly. Thank you for your cooperation.
