There is a menu option "About" under menu option "Telerik" in VS menu.
Usually it is supposed to be a string about current version of program and a few strings about a purpose.
But what you see: the full list of Telerik products!
Even if click one of them you will not see a version!
It doesn't make any sense!

What is purpose of "About" menu option?
How can I check which current version of Telerik?

Thank you,
Ildar

Hello Ildar,

You are correct; the "Telerik > About" dialog is intended more information about Telerik and our other products.

You can find the Test Studio version number by clicking "Help > About Microsoft Visual Studio". This is inline with the other VS installed products.

Hello Anthony,

Thanks for so fast answer. Usually I am getting answer next day.
I think menu option "About" still misleading.
It should be "About Telerik products" instead. It will reflect exactly what to expect.

And since you have menu option "Telerik" already why not to show really versions of Telerik:
all installed and current in Windows, in current project, all installed in toolbar?
Because it will show whole picture what is going on with Telerik versions and if some of them are old then it will need to update.

Thank you,
Ildar

Hi Anthony,

1.
I have tried your suggestion in Visual Studio to go: "Help -> About Microsoft Visual Studio" as you said and I got:
"Telerik RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX VSExtensions Package". Thats it.
What does it mean  "VSExtensions Package"?
What version of Telerik do I have?
How to know what version of Telerik I have?
Is it big problem to show?

2.
Under my account I have "Telerik RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX" as trial version and offer to purchase it.
Should I purchase it?

Thank you,
Ildar

Hello Ildar,

Onto your questions:
  1. The VSX extensions package we provide is a set of addons we provide to facilitate your development with our components when using MS Visual Studio for dev environment. For instance, you can determine the version of the AJAX controls you use in your project using the Upgrade wizard and update to the latest version if there is newer version available on our site.
  2. I checked your account in our system and it indicates that you are added as a licensed developer to a Premium Collection purchase. Hence you should be able to download the paid version of our AJAX controls as part of the Telerik Premium Collection package listed under your account. You should also be able to see the trial package download of our AJAX components separately

If I do not want to upgrade addons is there a way to know the version I have?
I am sorry but since July 14 I cannot get the answer to this question.

Hi Ildar,

The simplest way to determine the version of our AJAX controls you have in your project is to right-click the Telerik.Web.UI.dll, choose Properties and expand the Details tab.
