hi, i'm using a physical path with radexplorer, as mentioned in the kb article.
how is it possible that the radexplorer has permissions to access the folder even if i don't set any special permissions to the folder?

Hi Ronen,
The permissions to the files and folders are not controlled by RadFileExplorer, but are granted by the ASP.NET user and the control utilizes these permissions. If the ASP.NET used does not have write permissions you will not be able to upload files to the specific folder. actually i do have access to folders i choose for the fileexplorer which are outside the web site folder, even though i didn't set any iis permission to this folder, this is why i asked how is it possible.

Have you configured by any chance your IIS server to use the Integrated Windows authentication: this IIS method sends user authentication information over the network could be the reason for the reported behavior. You can find more information in the following MS articles:
