How can we configure Graphite and Mist to tell Git to ignore ubiquitous but non-relevant files, such as Thumbs.db or .DS_Store?

Hello Robert,

I am afraid that currently our both clients do not support editing the .gitignore file.
I have created a feedback item with your feature request. You can follow the link to vote for it and shape the future of Icenium.

As a workaround you can edit your .gitignore file on your remote repository using for example GitHub's web interface or using git itself.
Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
