Leading provider of end-to-end solutions steps in to fill market gap, challenge status quo
WALTHAM, MA, MAY 16, 2011 – Telerik, an end-to-end provider of tools for software development and content management solutions, today announced the upcoming release of JustDecompile and JustTrace. JustDecompile addresses the critical market need for a free Microsoft .NET Framework-based assembly browsing and decompiling tool, while JustTrace delivers fast .NET application profiling. Both easy-to-use tools aim to elevate overall developer productivity and performance by reevaluating common development problems and offering innovative solutions. Currently available as betas, JustDecompile and JustTrace will be launched commercially in July 2011.
JustDecompile leverages Telerik’s extensive experience in code analysis to deliver one-click exploration and analysis of compiled .NET Framework-based assemblies. The free, standalone tool offers a host of robust features and functionality, including:
- Easy one-click code navigation and browsing, and on-the-fly results
- Compatibility with a wide array of .NET versions and frameworks, including Microsoft Silverlight
- Seamless side-by-side assembly loading
- Superior decompiling speed and accuracy
With JustDecompile, the company is actively addressing the .NET Framework-based community’s need for a contemporary, free decompiling and browsing tool, while simultaneously improving the usability of decompiling tools through the use of innovative code browsing techniques borrowed from JustCode, Telerik’s productivity plug-in for Microsoft Visual Studio. JustDecompile ensures developers can achieve maximum productivity when working with disassembled code.
"Microsoft welcomes Telerik’s enthusiasm in answering the call for a decompiling tool that is free and available to the .NET Framework-based community,” said Dave Mendlen, senior director, Developer Marketing at Microsoft Corp. “We are proud to collaborate with Telerik to refine JustDecompile to address practical needs of software developers.
Telerik further extends its comprehensive developer tool portfolio with the introduction of JustTrace. Designed to help make .NET Framework-based performance and memory profiling easier and faster, JustTrace provides rich functionality, such as:
- Simple, intuitive user interface, minimizing the learning curve
- High-speed profiling via a smaller footprint and optimized profiler options
- Real-time monitoring and live data collection
- Support for both Web and desktop application profiling
- Seamless Visual Studio interoperability
JustTrace joins JustCode and JustMock, Telerik’s advanced mocking tool for unit testing, to offer developers a commercially proven, single-source option for the complete write-test-optimization cycle. Unlike competing products, JustTrace covers both memory and performance profiling under a single, unified license, delivering 360-degree optimization and added value.
“We’ve invested considerable effort in creatively rethinking some everyday productivity challenges .NET Framework-based developers face and how we can deliver innovative tools that improve them. JustDecompile and JustTrace are the result of that rethinking process, offering innovative approaches to essential tasks,” said Todd Anglin, chief evangelist, Telerik. “Backed by Telerik’s legendary support, we believe that JustDecompile and JustTrace are essential additions to every developer’s toolbox.”
