Newton, MA, September 17, 2009 – Telerik, a leading vendor of development tools and user interface components for .NET, announced the Beta release of 10 new controls for Silverlight 3 and WPF, including
RibbonBar for Silverlight,
Docking for WPF,
TileView and
OutlookBar for both suites. The Silverlight RibbonBar allows developers to codelessly organize the navigation functionality of their application into a single compact toolbar control; the WPF Docking lets Telerik clients achieve a docking system like the one in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008; with the new TileView control developers will easily create immersive browsing experience and customized dashboards for web and desktop; the OutlookBar control lets you deliver Outlook’s navigational bar to your applications.
“With an aggressive release schedule for the
Silverlight and
WPF product lines, Telerik stays true to its commitment to provide the most comprehensive, feature-abundant and reliable toolset for rich web and desktop development currently offering more than 60 controls for Silverlight and WPF combined,” said Nikolay Atanassov, Silverlight Unit Manager at Telerik. “We will continue to extend both suites, while constantly improving the performance factors and leveraging the tremendous capabilities of the WPF and Silverlight platforms.”
The Beta release of RadControls for Silverlight also features new RadCoverFlow, RadSplitButton, RadDropDownButton, RadRadioButton and RadButton.
RadControls for Silverlight 3 features more than 30 advanced user interface (UI) components providing developers with a powerful toolset for building line-of-business Silverlight applications. The suite features the first commercial
3D chart for Silverlight,
binding to .NET RIA Services, Silverlight 3 native validation and out of browser support. Almost all Silverlight controls have a WPF counterpart, enabling developers to
build mirror Web and desktop applications with identical UIs much more easily.
RadControls for WPF is the industry richest WPF toolset providing a high-performance, visually appealing, and highly customizable shortcut to the world of engaging user experiences.
The official release of the next volume of RadControls for Silverlight and RadControls for WPF is expected in early November, when more new controls and functionalities will be added to the offering.
