Telerik Silverlight Hands-on-labs Enable Professional Developers to Enrich Visual Studio LightSwitch Applications
WALTHAM, MA, JULY 20, 2011 – Telerik, an end-to-end provider of software application lifecycle and content management solutions, announced today that it has published a set of free resources for professional developers who are interested in extending Visual Studio LightSwitch with rich, engaging, and data-driven Silverlight UI controls.
Visual Studio LightSwitch allows business users and developers to quickly and easily develop and share desktop, browser, and cloud applications. They now have the ability to dive deep into code and add the functionality that end-users require without needing to know what is happening under the hood.
“The resources that we have made available are hands-on-labs for Telerik’s award-winning Silverlight controls. They target the developer who wishes to further customize his LightSwitch applications with powerful data-driven controls in order to provide a full-bodied end-user experience,” said Evan Hutnick, Silverlight Evangelist at Telerik. “These are free resources, and do not require any additional installations, other than the widely used Telerik RadControls for Silverlight.”
The initial Telerik LightSwitch hands-on-labs walk developers through adding the Telerik Silverlight controls to LightSwitch applications, whether it’s RadGridView, RadBulletGraph into GridView, RadChart, or RadMaskedInput. More step-by-step instructions and examples will be added over the coming weeks.
