Setting a higher standard in .NET toolset performance
NEWTON, MA, June 11, 2008 - Telerik, a leading vendor of developer tools and components for .NET, is excited to announce a Community Technology Preview of RadControls for Silverlight 2, right after Microsoft officially released Silverlight 2 Beta 2 plugin. The suite provides some very advanced features that are not supported by the standard controls and includes six controls that are not available with the Silverlight 2 Beta 2 edition.
“Our dedication is to provide a fully featured, super advanced suite for Silverlight 2,” says Nikolay Atanasov, Unit Manager of Telerik Silverlight division. “Our goal for the forthcoming Q2 2008 release is to offer a corresponding WPF control for almost every Silverlight control, thus allowing our customers to easily use our controls for both platforms.”
The suite ships with six controls that are not included in Silverlight 2 Beta 2 edition: RadMenu, RadUpload, RadTreeView, RadCube, RadNumericUpDown and RadProgressBar. Furthermore, a RadTabControl and a RadMediaPlayer control provide advanced features that are not available with Silverlight 2 Beta 2 edition, such as Playlist and Chapter Creation and Vertical/Horizontal orientation.
